RESTORED Antique Vtg Art Deco Nautical Holophane Glass Copper Flush Mount Light

  

A true early fixture from the early to mid 1900's. A new porcelain socket has been installed, the wiring updated and it is working well and ready to hang and enjoy. The glass shade is marked Holophane USA and only has a few small chips - these aren't very noticeable when in use because of the busy ribbed pattern (see closeups).

The copper fixture matches part no 1003 in the Faries catalog 13 from the year 1900, so it was most likely produced by Faries. It is in excellent condition and has been polished (not lacquered). The brass thumb screws at the ceiling are solid brass; the ones holding the shade are brass plated. Use one standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts since it's an enclosed fixture - or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. The hardware shown is included.
