Art Deco Lacquered Hand Painted Chinese Chinoiseries Nightstands Burl Wood Tops

  

Both stands are in nice antique partially refurbished condition. The tops have been refinished, gold touched up, the cherry wood bases resurfaced at some point. They did a nice job. The original lacquer and decoration is in good condition with typical were from age and use. The lacquer looks black but it is actually a really dark dark brown.

The hand painted scenes are slightly different on each stand which is a nice hand decorated effect. The doors have locks but no key but still open and close and stay closed very well. They are clean inside and out with no odors.

There are no chips, cracks or repairs other than cosmetic. Item offered is a pair of nice Art Deco Lacquered and hand decorated Chinoiseries nightstands with curl maple tops and cherry wood bases. Each have a drawer near the top with a large door on the bottom that opens to one adjustable shelf. The edges near the top are gold gilded. The background of the the body of the stands is a very dark brown lacquer and the had painted oriental motif is raised nd heavy paintings with lots of gold accents.

Very nice unique pair of stands that can be used as side tables or in between windows as accent chests. They are large and quality solid pieces made from solid hard woods. The burl maple tops have been refinished and have a heavy smooth clear lacquer finish.
