Antique hand carved polished mother of pearl holy font in gilded brass

  

I have been entrusted with several antique items from a long kept religious collection. They are antique and while in wonderful museum condition. Have not been restored as that would de-value them to collectors.

This piece is hand carved in polished mother of pearl, creating a holy water font. It is mounted in hand gilded worked brass. Gilt has been lost here and there due to use/age but the mother of pearl is perfect. I have not'cleaned' it to avoid damage. Please feel free to ask any questions at all.

For 24 years retailing modern and antique jewellery. I do it all, listing, photographing, sourcing, posting, packing, messages etc. I source unused packing (brand new) materials from huge companies who want to simply. But you may note another company on an envelope etc.

This way the packing is not only free but recycled. I photograph in a photo booth lit evenly with a daylight photographic light strip. I don't alter the photos in any way and try to show any/every fault.

As I strive to be as honest as possible and as you will recieve the item. Please note different monitors are set at different saturations, hues and temperatures.
