An antique 19th Century American railroad paymaster desk, unbranded. Walnut with brass hardware, crown moulding to the top, squared edge to top of writing surface, and elevated on tall bobbin legs. Features an upper lockable two solid door cabinet revealing an interior of sixteen small cubbies, six paper bins, two shelf areas, and two small drawers of hand dovetailed construction.
Lower lockable angled desk surface which lifts to reveal interior storage over two lockable drawers of hand dovetailed construction. Made in the USA, in the mid 19th Century. Measures: 54w 32.5d 73h, Knee Clearance: 26.75h. Very good antique condition with wear consistent with age and normal previous use.Desk lid and drawers function properly. Locks untested, no key present.
